I created The Women’s Motorcycle Exhibition to document the new wave of modern female motorcyclists. I want to reveal the brave, courageous and beautiful women that live to ride. The show is a vehicle which promotes a new perception of female empowerment and inspires an independence and liberation through motorcycling.

I'm about a quarter of the way through The Flamethrowers and the main character is a badass biker babe, which has me dreaming about riding motorcycles all day long. And these photos by Lanakila MacNaughton, well, damn, girl! She does such a great job of capturing the badass spirit in these ladies and definitely makes me want to learn how to ride now.

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over, but I fully plan on soaking up every little last bit of it. Thankfully, September and October are usually the warmest months in this little city of mine, which means I get to hold on to those golden rays and the easy, carefree feels just a little bit longer.

I'm flying down to LA tomorrow to spend the long weekend with my family. There will be lots of sitting on the beach and eating delicious food and relaxing. And really, what more could you ask for?
